SEE THE SOUND +++ SoundTrack_Cologne 14 +++ 23rd – 27th August 2017

SoundTrack_Cologne 14 invites all filmmakers, producers and distributors to submit movies with focus on music.

From now on music documentaries, artistic films about music and musicians, biopics about musicians or bands, discerning documentaries about concerts, or portraits of bands, short films and music videos can be submitted.

Since its inception, SoundTrack_Cologne developed through its festival and conference programme into Europes leading platform for music and sound in film, games, tv and media in general. As a festival that aims to display all the forms and effects of soundtrack in combination with moving images, SoundTrack_Cologne likes to offer outstanding music films a platform to be presented on the big screen in the frame of SEE THE SOUND.

SEE THE SOUND is dedicated specifically to new perspectives for eyes and ears by encounters of image and audio. It presents the best of music documentaries, artistic films about music and musicians, short films with a focus on music and music videos.

SEE THE SOUND honors the best music documentary!

For the fifth time the Prize for the Best Music Documentary will be awarded in context of SEE THE SOUND. The prize is endowed with 2,500 Euro.

Films and music videos whose production was completed in 2016 or 2017 or which had their premiere at a festival after 1st January, 2016 are eligible for submission. Films in formats BluRay (preferred), DCP and DVD, music videos also as quicktime.mov 720 x 576 PAL, will be considered.
There are no restrictions regarding the country of production.

Preview copies are preferred as online screeners. DVD submissions are also accepted.

Deadline for the submission is Tuesday, 23rd of May 2017.
