Osallistu eurooppalaisten musiikintekijäjärjestöjen kattojärjestö ECSA seminaareihin
ECSA (European Composer and Songwriter Alliance) järjestää elo-syyskuussa kolme kaikille avointa seminaaria. Aiheina ovat musiikkialan vastuullisuus ilmastonmuutoksen näkökulmasta, CIS-netiä (yhteishallinnoinnin tehostamiseen tähtäävä palvelu) käsittelevä seminaari sekä katsaus nykytilanteeseen musiikin striimauspalveluista ja niiden korvauskäytännöistä. Seminaarit pidetään englanniksi.

Working Group on Collective Management Practices: meeting with Sylvain Piat (CISAC)
4 September, 11:00 – 13:00 CET (Suomen aikaa klo 12 alkaen)
During this meeting, Sylvain Piat, Director of Business at CISAC and responsible for CIS-net, will present and answer your questions. CIS-net will be the main topic to be discussed. CIS-net is a centralised database built upon CISAC’s standards. It aims to facilitate more extensive and effective licensing and faster and more efficient distribution of revenues. The Working Group has identified CIS-net as a priority topic, since streamlining the way music authors’ rights are managed is one of the Working Group’s priorities.

Music Streaming Working Group: meeting with Jannick Kirk Sørensen (Aalborg University Copenhagen)

With a presentation from Jannick Kirk Sørensen (Associate Professor in Digital Media, PhD, ”Digital Transformation” research group, Aalborg University Copenhagen) who led the fairness part of the Fair MusE research project. The project is dedicated to the promotion of “fairness for music creators and stakeholders from an interdisciplinary perspective, thus leading to a more transparent, competitive and sustainable music ecosystem in Europe”, and focuses specifically on the domination of online platforms and their algorithms.
