Hi! I’m Jojo “Johanna” von Hertzen, and I work as the Community Manager at the Finnish Music Creators.
My workdays are wonderfully varied, including planning and producing events, creating content, coordinating member benefits, and taking part in industry events. I’m also responsible for the association’s equality matters and for helping ensure that our community is safe, open, and encouraging for all music creators.
My background is in event production and content creation, and I have over ten years of experience with music industry events and content projects. I’m also a music creator and artist myself, which I believe brings an extra layer of insight to my role as Community Manager. I’m inspired by working alongside my colleagues—the opportunity to support their work, amplify their voices, and help build better structures for our field.
Equality is a theme close to my heart, and I want to be actively involved in making the industry fairer for everyone. Also, I’m the Co-Chair of the Equality Working Group within ECSA, the umbrella organization for European music creator associations, and I’m one of the founders of Musamimmien päivä (“Women in Music Industry Events”), a series of events launched in 2022.
